Rescue Disk
You
can create your own anti-virus rescue diskette set, which is bootable
and will scan the memory, boot sector and disk of your computer
for known viruses. Trend, the developer of the anti-virus components
of our software, provides the downloadable 'emergency disk'
on their web site.
Follow
these instructions
to create an anti-virus rescue diskette set. This will enable you
to install the latest virus information on the set of diskettes,
and you will be able to boot from those diskettes and scan for viruses.
If you suspect that your system actually has a virus and you don't
have a current rescue disk set, you should use a different computer
to create the anti-virus diskettes. Check for a updated version
about once a month.
