VCOM
normally provides support for prior versions and obsolete products
in the form of searchable FAQ's from our web site under Support ,
typically for at least 12 months after the product is discontinued
or superceded by a major new version.
In
general, unless otherwise stated, VCOM will cease email support
and phone support (if originally available)
6 months after the release of a major new version of the
product.
Anti-Virus
Updates
For
products requiring Anti-Virus updates, specifically, VCOM SystemSuite
and VCOM Fix-It Utilities, automatic updates may be discontinued
through the EasyUpdate process when email support ends. If
you are having problems using EasyUpdate to acquire your AV pattern
files, please check
the specific product's support page to find
out if that feature has been discontinued. If it has not been
discontinued,
then
there
may
be an issue with
EasyUpdate itself, and you should consult the FAQs. Keep in mind
that while new pattern update files are made available, only
by purchasing a current
version will you have access to the current Anti-Virus engine
and the extra protection it provides.
Once
Anti-Virus pattern file updates are discontinued through EasyUpdate,
you may still be able to manually update your pattern files by
going
to the VCOM Anti-Virus Center and
manually downloading and executing the downloaded file. This
will update
your Anti-Virus
pattern file.
Please
be advised, that VCOM reserves the right to cease providing these automatic
and manual updates at any time after main support
is discontinued.
