is now shipping. This utility can reclaim wasted disk space, organize
files, add new operating systems and in many cases speed up
drive access.
Partition
Commander installs and runs from Windows or it can be run from
the included boot CD, with the same fully
functional mouse-driven graphical UI. This allows users to work
on a system with a blank drive - no OS is needed!
Partition
Commander has the ability to safely resize partitions for all
partition types used by Windows 98/NT/Me/2000/XP/2003
and
Longhorn, Linux ext2, ext3, and ReiserFS. This is in addition to
being able to create, delete, copy and move any operating system
(OS) type partition. Other exclusive features include the Partition
Wizard™ which
automates partitioning tasks, the BackStep Wizard™ which
lets you UNDO multiple prior partitioning tasks, and the ability
to convert NTFS and compressed NTFS to FAT/FAT32 and back or to
convert a Windows 2000/XP/2003 dynamic disk back to a basic disk.
Other
powerful features include NTFS performance optimizations including
NTFS cluster resize and Master File Table
(MFT) defragmenter
and BootFixer™ to automatically correct startup problems
in NT/2000/XP/2003 due to BOOT.INI errors. Partition Explorer lets
users look into normal and hidden FAT, FAT32 and NTFS partitions
and view and edit text files within those partitions.
In
addition, two free bonuses are included, Copy Commander™ and
System Commander® Personal Edition. Copy Commander transfers
all the contents of one drive to another. This makes it easy to
switch to a new faster, larger drive while expanding those partitions
to fit the new drive. System Commander Personal Edition lets users
run multiple OSes on a single PC.
