SAN
JOSE, CA April 1, 1998 - VCOM announced today a new consumer rebate
program for both its System Commander® and System Commander Deluxe
software packages. In particular, from now through July 31, 1998 (Editor's
note: expiration has been extended to December 31, 1999) retail buyers
of either package who submit the peel-off rebate coupon, along with
a registration card, an original receipt for proof of purchase, and
the original UPC code, will qualify to receive the $20.00 rebate.

of the recently introduced System Commander Deluxe have exceeded our
expectations, allowing us to offer this rebate program to our customers,"
said Mike Mazzei, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for VCOM. "This
$20.00 rebate will provide the opportunity for even more consumers
to benefit from using the System Commander line of utility products."

Commander Deluxe retails for $69.95 prior to the $20.00 rebate. Both
